Your first visit, made easy
Everything you need to know before you come in — what to bring, what to expect, and how payment works. No referral needed to get started.
What to bring
- Any recent scans, X-rays or imaging reports you have
- Your private health fund card (for on-the-spot HICAPS claims)
- A Medicare CDM referral from your GP, if you have one
- Comfortable clothing you can move easily in
Arriving a few minutes early helps us get your paperwork sorted so your appointment time is all about you.
What your first visit looks like
We’ll start by talking through your history and what’s brought you in, then do a thorough physical assessment — and an on-site digital X-ray if it’s warranted. From there we’ll explain what we’ve found in plain language and agree a plan with you, usually starting treatment the same day.
More on what to expect →Your options
Private health (HICAPS)
We have HICAPS on-site, so if you have extras cover you can claim your rebate on the spot and only pay the gap.
Medicare (CDM/EPC)
If you have a chronic condition, your GP can refer you under a Chronic Disease Management plan for up to 5 bulk-billed visits per calendar year. More on bulk billing →
DVA & private
We welcome DVA patients, and you’re always welcome as a private patient with no referral needed. Call reception for current fees.
New patient questions
Do I need a referral to book?
No. You can book directly with us as a private patient. A referral is only needed if you want to use a Medicare Chronic Disease Management plan, which your GP arranges.
How much does it cost?
Fees depend on the type of appointment and your cover. With HICAPS on-site you can claim private health on the spot. Please call reception on (07) 5478 2333 for current prices.
How do I book?
The quickest way is to book online any time, or call the clinic during opening hours and we’ll find a time that suits — often the same day.
